Three short OSR adventures from YCBN Games, all wrapped up in a folding sleeve of bonus maps. Includes print and PDF editions of:
Something Sinister at Candlewax Cabin
A short and spooky side encounter or introductory adventure, designed to be run in a single session of investigation and mounting comic dread.
Nobody in the tavern will shut up about it. A group of angry locals have got the place riled up about some strangeness at the homestead of the local candlemaker Lucan Rushlight. The gravedigger says the cemetery near Lucan’s workshop has been desecrated. The huntsman has seen odd visitors in the forest. Why, just tonight two robed men were skulking on the roads, heading toward the remote homestead. Some of the locals think that old Lucan has joined a cult. Others say maybe he’s taken to robbing graves and fencing the loot. But these townfolk all agree on one thing: they’re ready to march over there and put a stop to whatever it is. Who’s brave enough to join them?
Well Past Midnight in the Moonlight Kitchen
A weird little adventure for a party of levels 2-4, designed to be run in a single session of diplomacy, exploration and increasing oddity. The players expect a simple negotiation mission but it quickly spirals into an unexpected dungeon crawl that exposes bizarre forces at work.
There's a new soup shack at the edge of town and it only opens at night, serving thick bowls of mushroom stew steeped in foreign spices. Rumors spread among the locals about the mind-enhancing effects of the exotic additives, and now mercenaries and tomb robbers are lining up nightly to get a bowl. Naturally, the Murdoch smuggling clan wants in on this action. If you can figure out the secret ingredient, they'll pay a nice sum. But if you can secure them a permanent supply, well . . . what's your asking price?
Just Another Goblin Cave
A short introductory adventure for a 1st level party about failed expectations and changing circumstances. Most groups finish the delve in a single short and chaotic session full of cascading mischief, so it makes a hilarious one-shot or a really fun launchpad mission for a campaign.

These adventures are part of a series of lovingly handcrafted zine-style OSR modules with intricate hand-drawn maps, intended to showcase unique and consequential locations for low-level parties to experience in the old-school, exploratory style. All the art is hand-drawn by real people and always will be. My goal is to show off low-level adventures with some real depth and interaction, more than simple dungeon crawls. They are generally compatible with Basic Fantasy, Old-School Essentials, Labyrinth Lord, DCC, Five Torches Deep, and most other OSR-style rulesets. You can easily convert them into modern systems if that's your thing. Every adventure is thoroughly playtested with multiple groups at my own table so you can be sure that you're not getting some dashed-off nonsense here, these are gonna give you a good time.
